A few lines from "There Should Have Been More Roses":

"There should have been more "thank you's"

Many more "I love you's"

More time for special moments

And a few more roses too

Life just seemed to take its course

And though it was never intended

You were not cherished as you should have been

And now it can't be mended

For there, left forgotten, in the day-to-day

(Though that shouldn't be an excuse)

Were so many opportunities lost

To express love and gratitude

For everything you did each day

For the dedication that it took

To keep on going in spite of the fact

That your efforts were often overlooked

And it's a painful thing to consider this

To wish the past could somehow be changed

And to be haunted by the realization

That this can never be arranged

Please know you'll be remembered forever

For all the wonderful things you did

And missed most of all for the love you showed..."
