Poem description:

This is the most popular funeral and memorial poem for a grandmother found on this website.  The poem, "A Cherished Mother And Grandmother", honors a beloved mother and grandmother for all that she has done for her family throughout her life.

The poem is written from the perspective of adult children and describes how the mother was always there for her children through their growing years.  It praises her lifelong dedication to her children.

It discusses how the mother's dedication to her family increased when her grandchildren arrived.  It touches on the many wonderful things that this grandmother did for her grandchildren.

The poem acknowledges how deep the loss is for the grandchildren to not have their grandmother with them any more, but acknowledges that they will always be comforted by their rememberances of her.

Near the end of the poem there is an expression of just how much this cherished mother and grandmother will always be loved and fondly remembered by her family.
