"Take Care Of Yourself" Poem Description:

This poem is written from the viewpoint of the person who has passed away asking a loved one to take care of himself/ herself.  So often when someone dies, loved ones left behind struggle to find the strength to keep on going.

This poem expresses how painful it is for the person who has passed away to look down from heaven and see their loved one(s) having such difficulty.  In the poem the person who has died asks his/ her loved one to face this trial in honor of them.

The poem asks the person who is struggling to be patient with himself/ herself and others, to eat enough, to talk through their grief, to keep up their strength through exercise and sufficient sleep.  It asks the person who is struggling with grief to handle their mourning in a positive way in order to honor of the person who has died.

The poem is very reassuring that they will all be reunited again some day.  It reaffirms to the person facing this trial of mourning how much they are loved by the person who has passed away.
